UMatter Summer Lunch Program - Food Preparation
The UMatter Summer Lunch Program is an annual community-driven initiative dedicated to supporting children who may face food insecurity during the summer months when school-provided meals are unavailable. Volunteers come together to prepare and distribute ready-to-go lunches for kids who typically rely on free or reduced lunch programs during the school year. This program is rooted in compassion, connection, and action—creating a space where individuals can make a tangible impact in their community. By serving together, volunteers help ensure that every child feels seen, supported, and cared for, while addressing a critical need with dignity and consistency. You are signing up to help prepare and wrap sandwiches and prepare with a side for delivery. Another event has been established where volunteers will deliver food to pre-selected areas for distribution.
